Field Notes

Description:

The caterpillar has turned yellow, and you can see the start of its cocoon. The resulting cocoon looks like a dead leaf, and also bears a strange resemblance to a scowling face with red eyes, depending on the angle you look at it.

Notes:

Found at the Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
