I once "promised" never IDing a Calephelis or Detritiovora. OK, I do it nevertheless... Calephelis is one of the trickiest butterflies to ID and if you look at the link you will see that some of the species are only recently described, so quite a "new" story. In my eyes Calephelis schausi is quite a nice match. You have to look very carefully at each spot, each marking and line, compare size and location, order and neighbouring markings and the distance to them, respectively. http://butterfliesofamerica.com/calephelis_schausi.htm Best match with yours again: http://butterfliesofamerica.com/images/Riodinidae/Riodininae/Calephelis_schausi/Calephelis_schausi_M_NICARAGUA_Managua_08-XI-76_2.jpg Always keep Detritivora in your mind looking at Calephelis. Sometimes I am not really sure if it is A or B... http://butterfliesofamerica.com/t/Detritivora_a.htm And certainly as GreenBugs commented before. Caria ino looks indeed very similar, but the shape of the wings is slightly different.
Looks like a Red-bordered Metalmark (Caria ino). They are native to Central America and can be found as far north as South Texas. http://greennature.com/article1967.html
