Description:
Very distinctive, colourful shieldbug.
Habitat:
Small area of primary rainforest close to an Amazonian tributary but not within a national park. Altitude around 450 m.
Notes:
This was one of numerous fantastic insects seen in this location.
It is so distinctive (to me) that I hope someone will be able to find a match.
