Description:
Rare Sighting
Marsh Sandpiper from the family of Shanks and Tattlers. Long yellowish legs and medium size body. Brown and gray on upperparts and white under with brown fine bars on chest. Bill is medium length, black and very thin.
Habitat:
Found in freshwater marshes.
Notes:
A wading bird from Africa, W Russian, India, most of Asia to Australia, makes an appearance in a wetland in California.
