Description:
About 25mm in size, flattened body grey-silver colour not easy to see on the water, short antennae, their divided eyes are believed to enable them to see both above and below water.
Habitat:
Spotted during a raining morning walk at Kebun Raya Cibodas, a 80ha area above 1.400 metres high, mix of botanical park with big trees & palms and surrounded by rainforest at the foot of Gene volcano, Java - Indonesia.
It was in a small canal of water that cross the park. Water beetles usually can be found swimming on the surface of the water and underwater if threatened.
