Description:
The shape of the shell is somewhat triangular and elongate with rounded edges. The shell has fine, concentric growth lines but no radiating ribs. The shells of this species are purple, blue or sometimes brown in color, occasionally with radial stripes.
Habitat:
Habitat: Intertidal zone - the shell had been pried open and the mussel eaten, most likely by a gull
