Field Notes

Description:

It is not a culinary herb as the name suggests; it only superficially resembles the rosemary most of us are familiar with. It is actually the only representative of its genus. It is a lovely Florida native plant that can grow very large and bushy under the right conditions. This one in particular was about 5 feet tall.

Habitat:

Sandhill area in Watermelon Pond Wildlife and Environmental Area
