Description:
This introduced moth can be a major pest with the larvae doing damage to trees due to their large numbers. Heavy, medium sized moth. White with gray wavy lines and a couple of black markings. Dark legs. Light brown egg mass can be seen under the moth on the tree. Males are smaller and brown.
Habitat:
Temperate forest. Connetquot River State Park, NY.
