Description:

Oxyopidae; Oxyopes javanus Thorell, 1887. Spiders of the family Oxyopidae do not make webs and sit there, waiting for some unfortunate insect to get itself stuck. According to wikipedia, they go "stalking, chasing, or ambushing prey".

Habitat:

This spider was spotted in our backyard vegetable plot on Squash (Cucurbita maxima) locally known as Kalabasa. Plant information from - http://stuartxchange.com/Kalabasa.html
