Field Notes

Description:

Pale yellow with two thin brown perpendicular stripes on each wing, thin brown line outlines the outer edges of the wings and there are two darker brown dots on the tail. Wingspan 40-50mm.

Habitat:

Urban and rural woods, hedges, parks and gardens. Caterpillars feed on Ivy and various broad-leaved trees and shrubs.
