Field Notes

Description:

The male has a red head and underparts. Brownish upperparts and black wing-coverts with white vermiculations. The female has a brown head and breast.

Habitat:

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Notes:

This bird was a long way from my setup location and shot through thick forest branches, leaves, etc. With flash I was able to a one decent exposure. From the Main Road in Kaeng Krachan NP, Thailand.
