Description:
A member of the starling family that feeds on the ticks that infest herd animals, approaching 100 ticks per day per bird. IN addition they will keep the wounds open to feed directly on blood.

Lake Burunge camp
Notes:
This ox pecker waited its turn for a drink perched in a tree near the camp
