Description:

This female Green lynx spider made her home on the pad of a large clump of prickly pear cactus. Hugging her egg sac and being protected by the sharp spines of the cactus, which she used to construct her web.

Habitat:

Spotted on a prickly pear cactus at the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge.
