Description:
White with dark brown wave-like patterns lines and specks.
Approx. 50mm wing span.
I believe this is a male due to the darker brown of the patterns (?) Happy to be corrected.
Habitat:
Bushland, rainforest (South East Queensland).
Notes:
Spotted out on Yuggera/Turrbal Country at the information shelter, Latina Ave Trail Head entrance of the Seven Hills Bushland Reserve (4170).
You know it's going to be a good day for spotting when you've barely made it out of your car and all manner of critters are practically throwing themselves at your camera!
Spotted this guy trying to camouflage on the white sign of the information shelter. I love how he tucks his antennae under his wings in an attempt to be as inconspicuous as possible. I've got pretty keen eyes and I'd like to think I'd have spotted him on a white tree trunk or the like, but I don't know... He's pretty good at what he does!
