Description:
One of a group. Nearby, in an old barn, there's a nest with two chicks hissing at anyone who comes too close. The vultures rest in the cultivated field of a family farm.
Habitat:
Near the west fork of the Red River. Woodland and cultivated fields of family farms.
Notes:
This community, including Pembroke and Trenton, Kentucky, has seen an increase in vultures, which are considered a nuisance by many residents.
