Description:

Burara amara, the small green awlet, is a species of hesperid butterfly found in Northeast India and Southeast Asia.

Butterflies belonging to the sub-family Coeliadinae, have heavy-set bodies and large eyes, and are active in the early morning and at dusk.

Habitat:

Waterfall, East Kashi Hills, Meghalaya, under a bridge over the road.
