Field Notes

Description:

Attractive fan shaped purple flowers in terminal spikes. The flowers have two lips with the lower lip dissected into three lobes and the upper into two small lobes. <br> Leaves were long and narrrow. <br> The plant seemed to have spreading habit with long tangled stems on the forest floor.

Habitat:

Spotted on the side of a walking track by a conservation area, in dappled shade.
