Description:

Coccinellidae; Coccinellinae; Coccinellini; Coelophora inaequalis Fabricius, 1775. The Variable Ladybird is fairly easy to identify, despite the great variety of markings on the elytra because the pattern on the Pronotum and head does not vary (as far as I know). So, if you see one, be sure to get a photo showing the head and you can't go wrong.

Habitat:

Spotted in our backyard vegetable plot on Chili pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) known as Sili throughout the Philippines, but called Maliha in the local dialect where I live. Plant information from - http://www.stuartxchange.org/SilingLabuy...
