Field Notes

Description:

Sparrow sized flycatcher, dark grey above and whitish below - probably a female, male would be black above. The signs to help the ID for both sexes are white or buff-white wing patches. Male would also sport two white frontal spots.

Habitat:

Spotted on edges of coniferous (mainly spruce, some fir) montane forest surrounded by pastures in protected natural reserve of Jura mountain range.
