Field Notes

Description:

Brown body, white legs. The paranota (sides of the dorsal plates) are a lighter tan color. The dorsal transverse grooves on the metazona of the millipede are a characteristic of the family Paradoxosomatidae.

Habitat:

Under leaf litter.

Notes:

An invasive species of millipede from Asia, it has been introduced to all the inhabited continents of the world.
