Field Notes

Description:

I was so upset not to get better pictures; however I watched this large flycatcher gathering dog hair for it's nest. I wasn't sure it was a GCF until I saw it's bright yellow underbelly. Neck had greyish feathers, back and wing feathers were brown. It came back for many visits to gather hair over the course of about a week.

Habitat:

breeding across the eastern states through the summer.
