Field Notes
Description:
The eastern newt is a common newt of eastern North America. It frequents small lakes, ponds, and streams or near-by wet forests. The eastern newt produces tetrodotoxin which makes the species unpalatable to predatory fish and crayfish. - from Wikipedia
Notes:
I thought all the eastern newt juveniles were grown already and I was very happy to see this beautiful newt in this time around.
