Field Notes

Description:

Approximately 3 inches tall. Tawny colored mushrooms with woody stems and cream colored gills.

Habitat:

Spotted in a mixed forest at Falling Waters Preserve. They were growing on a high, rocky trail that was adjacent to the Hudson River.

Notes:

Maybe C. zonata
