Field Notes

Description:

White, slim, simple, erect, or group of branching or worm-type fungi growing in leaf litter, decaying vegetation, or dead wood. Color can vary depending on type.

Habitat:

Leaf litter, sometimes mossy grasslands

Notes:

There are a couple of types of coral fungi that grow in different areas of the world. The specimen I found seemed prolific and is edible and is reported tasty.
