Field Notes

Description:

Red-tailed Hawk is brown above,pale yellow tint below,with a streaked belly and wing underside with a dark bar between shoulder and wrist. The tail of a mature Red-tailed Hawk is a warm reddish cinnamon color. Yellow legs and feet.
Pictured above is a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk.

Habitat:

Bay,fields and forest areas of shoreline.

Notes:

This Hawk spent several minutes at each stop it made. It traveled 25-50 feet between stops to perch and observe.

Thank you ChristyHolland. I have been following the Hawks and taking so many pictures in a day bringing them together in the upload. I did not separate them. Thanks again for your help.
Nice series, Tishanne! It looks like you have 2 different birds here...both Red-Tailed Hawks. The first 2 pics show a Juvenile, and the remaining show an adult. You can separate them into two spottings if you want, as each "spotting" is usually one sighting of one bird.
