Snow-White Linden Moth

Beautiful white moth. The Elm Spanworm (pupae) or Snow-white Linden Moth. Groups of eggs are laid in July on the bark of trees, pass the winter there, and hatch in the spring. Larva feeds on many trees besides elm.
