Field Notes

Description:

Large black and white bird with massive bill!

Habitat:

Wetlands, lakes, swamps, rivers, coastal islands and shores.

Notes:

My first reference for identification: The Michael Morcombe eGuide to Australian Birds, Mobile App.

This was the first time I had seen a squadron of pelicans in flight. Before I had seen one or two birds so this was pretty special :)
