Field Notes

Description:

The smallest of all penguins. They nest on Bruny Island, Tasmania. They come in at night, leaving foot prints all over the shore, and before dawn they return to the water to feed during the day.

Habitat:

Sandy on-shore dunes and the southern oceans.
