Field Notes

Description:

The larva is brown with white markings and several humps along its back. Young caterpillars have a large white patch upon the front part. I have never seen the beautiful moth flying around here. It is of the family Drepanidae.

Habitat:

Forest edge on a raspberry leaf.

Notes:

Norwegian name: F⁠lekkhalvspinner
