Field Notes

Description:

A unique upright shrub with fine textured leaves. The leaves are green followed by a gradual turning red/purple in the fall. Showy pink flowers appear in the Summer and give the shrub a beautiful look. Great shrub to add texture and colour to the landscape. It has a spreading habit and upright growth. In most locations it will not lose it's foliage which makes it a rare deciduous evergreen shrub.

Habitat:

In the United States, winged burning bush is found from New England to northern Florida and the Gulf Coast and also in Illinois.
