Field Notes

Description:

Chipmunk. Small Mammal approx 12 cm high with long, furry tail. White stripes along both sides of face and along back.

Habitat:

Found near young Lodge pole Pine along a trail in Yellowstone NP (west side).

Notes:

Pretty sure it's a Least Chipmunk. Looks like it could also be a Yellow-pine Chipmunk.
