Description:

It is a sea urchin species. This one was about 7 cm in diameter.

Habitat:

The sea potato buries itself in sand to a depth of ten to fifteen centimetres.
It has a discontinuous cosmopolitan distribution.

Notes:

The sexes are separate in this species and both liberate gametes into the water.
