Field Notes

Description:

The smallest kind of pythons, they don't usually grow up to 1meter (females get bigger than males). They have a large rage of colors and mutations. This is the normal one. Very kind and quiet, this specie doesn't attack very often. Instead, when in danger, this snakes wind up in themselves, hiding their head. That is why they are called ball pythons

Habitat:

From the forests of Africa, this specie needs a wet enviorenment, with high humidity levels. They are nocturnal snakes.

Notes:

Curiosity: it's a famous believe that Cleopatra always used one of these pythons around her wrist. In portuguese, we call it python real (which is the same as "regius")
