Pardon me, just did some research....west of the Rockies we only have the Stellar's Jay, not a Blue Jay.
Beautiful, I did not know there were other shades of Bluejays elsewhere. Here on the west coast they are a dark royal blue. Love them, so smart and cheeky.
they look like youngsters..I miss seeing these birds :-)
