Description:

About 1 inch wingspan, orange wings with black spots and wavy lines.

Habitat:

Found on a scarlet pimpernel plant in a weedy patch of my backyard at about 8:30 pm.

Notes:

When found, this butterfly was slowly opening and closing its wings.
