Description:

Males are bright yellow orange above, with narrow black borders & dark veins extending inwards from them. In the female the black borders are a little wider, the veins a little darker & the base of the forewing is dark.

Habitat:

Joe-Pye weed next to a swamp.

Notes:

Conservation Status: vulnerable (S3) in Québec, CA (NatureServe)
