Description:

Covered in white setae, with black tufts that are urticating hairs.

Habitat:

Forest.

Notes:

Don't touch the black urticating hairs. This one is an early instar, as it hasn't developed many black spots or hairs.

I've updated the ID information, this one is probably just an early instar. Thanks for the ID, Svetlana!
This one and the hickory tussock moth caterpillar look similar, and it's the same range, but I'm not sure if it definitely is. It doesn't have the characteristic black lashes on its abdomen. I'm going to look around and see if I can find out more information. Still, thanks for the suggestion, Svetlana! If it's not correct, it's still very similar!
