Field Notes

Description:

Small right yellow diiscs about 2 mm wide. Some had a sparse ring of hairs along the margins.

Habitat:

These were seen growing on Kangaroo dung.

Notes:

These fungi belong to C. coprinaria group. I have spotted at least two different sizes. Capturing the details was a little difficult.

Thanks Martin. I thought you'd spotted some too Martin. Mark pointed the first lot to me - much smaller and difficult to photograph. I wouldn't have known that they were so small. For a fungus, I am amazed at the chosen mode of dispersal.
