Description:

This is a large genus with 226 species distributed worldwide associated almost entirely with the daisy (Asteraceae) and bellflower (Campanulaceae) families. They either feed on, only one species, or only a few related species. They do not host alternate. They usually have a sexual stage in their life cycle and overwinter as eggs.
