Field Notes

Description:

A small energetic,all-brown wren with light eye -ring and no strong eyebrow stripe. Often holds its tail erect. Female looks like male. Loves to sing, will sing from dawn to dusk.

Habitat:

Attracted to nest boxes in backyards.
Also open woods, thickets.

Notes:

Had the pleasure of watching a pair of these house wrens build a nest and raise their young. Every morning and evening, these tiny birds would just sing and sing. Such a wonderful experience to witness.

Nice series! Looks like they used a Martin box and had a bigger doorway!
