Red Fox Squirrel

These squirrels make a hearty living stealing food from university trash cans as well as gathering nuts from the many different species of trees on campus. Although timid, when on a mission to hide a nut, they have no problem walking directly across your path within a few feet from you. They also have been observed stashing acorns.
