Thanks for the comment lori.tas! We live in Vancouver Canada and don't know much about lizards because we don't have them here
Looks like a young male Brown anole with its neck fan retracted. There are no native lizards in Hawai'i. However 17 species of geckos, skinks, iguanas and anoles have been introduced either intentionally or accidentally.
