Field Notes

Description:

Hector weighs about 1.7 kilos, is the color "chocolate otter", and makes a very personable and hilarious house-pet. He trains dogs and reads Proust in his spare time.

Habitat:

Our house, which he begrudgingly shares with two Pyrenean Mountain Dogs (and two humans).

Notes:

We call him our "eco-pet", as, other than two bought bales of grass hay per year, he only eats vegetables from our garden and grass, dandelions, etc. we gather from our yard. We don't feed pelleted food as it has been linked to several diseases in domestic rabbits. He's not allowed outside because we have myxomatosis virus here which is deadly to rabbits.

Hi chibilulou, we say, "dogs have owners, cats have staff, and bunnies have minions". At least Hector has minions, be it useless ones.
So cute! I have a white bunny of my own. (o:
Yes, one brother stayed home in France, and one went to seek his fortune in Australia. :) Hector thinks everyone wants to be him, so clearly you are very fortunate. If you look closely at the photo of him with the large Pyr puppy (Lily), you'll see he's standing on her tail - showing her whose boss.
These photos are classic! Hector and I have a lot in common. We both like to sleep on our sides and read on our backs while being cradled :) After looking at both fellows in detail, I think Hector and Pino might be long lost brothers!
Owwwe so cute ! Indeed, he looks like mine, really... My rabbit also like parsley so much. It seems they are both naughty guys ^^.
