Description:

Purple/pinkish flower in the front, white bracts behind it. Grows from a woody stem.

Habitat:

Urban yard/garden.

Notes:

Native to Asia, introduced in Costa Rica. It's endangered in its native Singapore, and almost extinct there in terms of natural growth. It is the only species in the genus Arundina.
