Given its location under a bridge, the area it was found, and the way it holds its two front pairs of legs, I think you have sighted a fishing spider (Dolomedes). They're huge, although they probably only look like they are six inches wide. Great photo! Start a closer identification here: http://bugguide.net/node/view/1985/bgimage
