Nice photo.
Θα ήταν ωραίο να τις έβαζες και στην αποστολή μας, Biodiversity of Greece, Φίλιππε.

Thanks for completing this spotting with habitat information Philip, and congratulations, it is our Spotting of the Day:
"Two makes it more special! We love this image of a pair of Eurasian Spoonbills (Platalea leucorodia), our Spotting of the Day. Spoonbills (genus Platalea) are unmistakable with their distinctively spatulate bill, an example of the variety of forms reflecting increased specialisation in foraging. They feed by wading through shallow water, sweeping their partly opened bill from side to side and snapping it shut on small aquatic organisms (insects, crustaceans, or small fish). Spoonbills have a global distribution and are found on every continent except Antarctica. This species has declined in Greece due to over-fishing and habitat disturbance (IUCN)".

Welcome to Project Noah Philip!
Thank you for all your fantastic contributions from Greece so far. Could we please kindly request that you take a few seconds to fill in the Habitat field for your spottings. It'll make them more interesting to our community, and will help us fullfill one the missions of this site. Thanks in advance.
From our FAQ page:
"Habitat: Please state the actual habitat where you photographed the spotting - this information can then be used to track changes in habitat, such as those caused by human intervention or habitat destruction. Again, it is not necessary to state published habitat information here, this can be referenced in the 'reference links' box".
