Field Notes

Description:

Small moth about 12mm across with brown and gray markings in a wavy pattern. It has one white eye on each wing. The ends of the wings are fringed.

Habitat:

Under porch light at night. This species is found throughout most of the US, northern Mexico and the Caribbean.
