This Peacock Pansy was spotted, resting on unidentified foliage, at the edge of a rice field.
Notes:
Nymphalidae; Nymphalinae; Nymphaliini; Junonia almana almana Linnaeus, 1758. This butterfly is in perfect condition and is a good example example of the wet season form. J. a. almana is the subspecies present in the Philippines, according to Philippine Lepidoptera.
