Description:

Two barred owls were hunting the fields of a local reserve in the dusk hours of the day. They moved from spot to spot in search of prey.

The Barred Owl is native to eastern North America, and is a generalist predator with a diet consisting mainly of small mammals. It hunts at night, but sometimes can be observed hunting before dark as seen here".
