Description:
Infuriating butterfly to photograph. Flew low to the ground, stopped only for a second before flying off again, just a meter or 2 at a time. Always going from here to there in the same area.

Habitat:
Afrotropical ecozone. This butterfly was seen in low grass and small leafy plants in a wider part of the path, deep in tropical forest in central Uganda..
Notes:
Photo 3 shows the habitat.
This is a rainforest species, and tends to be most abundant along paths and tracks where dappled sunlight filters through the tree foliage to reach the forest floor.
